Sandi Givens – Australia’s Leading Specialist in the Advancement of Women
Sandi is committed to empowering all women world-wide to break through their personal ‘glass ceilings’ in order to fulfill their potential and live their dreams. Whether it be the beliefs they have about their capabilities, the way in which they speak to themselves or the devaluing of their skills and achievements that is holding them back, Sandi teaches women specific techniques to breakthrough these limitations and develop the behaviours, skills and mind sets of true leaders.
For more than 25 years, Sandi has worked with hundreds of organisations and thousands of people. Her own Speaking, Training, Coaching and Consulting company, (branded as Shattering Glass Ceilings), was established in 1989. Drawing on her training and management background, and with a provocative (rather than prescriptive) style, Sandi helps people learn, rather than merely tell them what to do.
Both clients and peers regard Sandi as one of Australia’s most dynamic, engaging and authentic presenters. Her style is relaxed, entertaining, challenging and at all times professional – in every sense of the word. Sandi’s forte is the delivery of Interactive Keynote Addresses and Seminar Facilitation for medium to large groups – as well as group and one-to-one coaching for businesswomen.
Sandi’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology, Accreditation in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (to Step II Advanced Level), Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Generative Learning. She is also recognized as a successful and accomplished writer of countless published articles and her first book, Women on the Move (now in it’s 2nd Edition), was first published in October 2002. Daniel Priestley, Triumphant Events, UK
Daniel Priestley started out as an entrepreneur at 21 years old and has since built several successful businesses in the UK, Australia and Singapore.
His belief is that Entrepreneurs have an important role in supporting the Global Good. His belief is that Entrepreneurs should assist with their financial resources but more importantly with their contacts and expertise. Revolution is unfolding. Daniel predicts that a great trend towards self employment is emerging. In the same way that the Industrial Revolution caused a sea change from cottage industry to factory labour, the entrepreneur revolution will provide the chance for billions of people to turn their passion into their own small business.
Several trends are converging that give a serious upper hand to small business over big business. In the future, the only big businesses that will survive will be the ones that figured out how to partner with a lot of small businesses.
Highly talented people will identify themselves as entrepreneurs rather than employees. Work on demand will replace careers and people will get involved in projects as opposed to roles.
Daniel Priestley was featured in the Book “Secrets of My Success” along side some of the worlds most well known entrepreneurs. He’s also currently writing his own book due to be published in mid 2010.
